Introduction

Genesis 2:15     15 The Lord God took the man and put him in the garden of Eden to till it and keep it.

 Hosea 10:12     12 Sow for yourselves righteousness; reap steadfast love; break up your fallow ground;  for it is time to seek the Lord, that he may come and rain righteousness upon you.

First Lesson

Exodus 20:2       I am the Lord your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of slavery;

1. What does it mean that God is our Redeemer?

Deuteronomy 6:4-5     Hear, O Israel: The Lord is our God, the Lord alone.  You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your might.

2. What does it mean to believe in God, and why is it important?

Deuteronomy 6:13     13 The Lord your God you shall fear; him you shall serve, and by his name alone you shall swear.

Deuteronomy 10:20     20 You shall fear the Lord your God; him alone you shall worship; to him you shall hold fast, and by his name you shall swear.

Deuteronomy 28:9     The Lord will establish you as his holy people, as he has sworn to you, if you keep the commandments of the Lord your God and walk in his ways.
