Torah Portions

We will often refer to the Torah Portions during this study. Most people of the Jewish faith understand this term immediately but it is a new term to many Christians. So what are the Torah portions? It is simply the divisions of the Torah Cycle readings beginning with Genesis 1 (Bereishit) and extending to Deuteronomy 34:12 (V'Zot HaBerachah). And what does Torah mean?
The listing below shows you the complete list of these Torah portions. And importantly it provides you with all you need to investigate any or all of the portions as taught in our class.The listing shows you first the name of the Torah portion (followed by the name written in Hebrew), then the English equivalent of the Hebrew word and then the scripture listing for that Torah portion. This is followed by the Lesson notes from Sandy Kress, our class handout, and an audio of the class as taught by Sandy. One additional bonus is the Haftarah portion associated with the Torah portion.
