Prayer - God I pray this day for the young people in my life, in this church and in this community.  What a difficult time to be young and to be figuring our life!  Guard them and keep their hearts close to you.  May your Word find it’s way into their souls.  May I live in a way that shows your word active and at work .  Help my life to be an attractive example for the young around me.  Amen

Week  31          Day 5
Spiritual Formation Devotionals

Then they were glad because they had quiet, and he brought them to their desired haven. Let them thank the Lord for his steadfast love, for his wonderful work to humankind. Psalm 107:30–31

Prayer - God of mercy, ever faithful in the storms of my life, I praise your name for the ways you are ever present, ready to calm the waves that crash into my life that send me whirling. I confess that oftentimes I attempt to calm these storms on my own, out of my own pride and self-reliance; only to be humbled when fear brings me to my knees. Why, O Father, don’t I call out to you sooner? Hear my cries of desperation, Father! I have cried these words before and You have heard them, many times. I give you praise for your goodness and the steadfast love that you continue to shine into my heart, the heart of your beloved, showing me the way home. Forever grateful, forever hopeful in the storms; Amen.
