The Book of Numbers - from Mt. Sinai to the Promised Land"
taught by Chris Knepp
This is the final chapter of the book of Numbers. Week one and two were on 9/24/23 and 10/1/23.
The Book of Numbers begins with a census taken at Mt. Sinai and gives us another one toward the end, taken on the Plains of Moab.
The book, however, is not so much about boring "numbers" as it is about the adventures of God's people on the way from Mt. Sinai to the edge of the Promised Land and of their developing relationship with their God.
Along the way we get lots of action, including a spy story, people swallowed by the earth, deadly serpents, a talking donkey, and a gutsy set of sisters. Jesus taught from Numbers (John 3:4-15), so clearly there is much we can learn from the fourth volume of the Pentateuch.
